truck runs fine until light came then I experience a severe lack in power. once I cleared code restarted and everything was fine
You realize 'clearing the code' doesn't restore normal performance?
The cause(s) of the codes remain - you just probably are not encountering the conditions you did before.
You would need an ODBII gauge reader (scangauge2 or the new apps for smartphones/MAC products) and be monitoring engine sensors WHILE towing to be able to identify what is happening at the time the check-engine lite comes on.
Before you do anything, you should monitor the sensors as asked by npccpartsman to determine a valid baseline - it's possible you have/had a bad sensor which through off the calibration on the turbo and resulted in your code..
It gets expensive to just try stuff based on the code, vs. finding out what the root cause that triggered the code was.
I have my edge wired in and am able to read codes on the fly. The wrench came on i pulled the vehicle over read codes cleared codes turned truck off and restarted truck and drove another 30 miles with no issues. Once the codes were cleared the truck was 100% again it ran like a champ. Drove truck yesterday with no issues. I was assuming sensor because of the fact that I had an underboost and an overboost code at the sametime. I will do some checking as npccpartsman reccomended thanks
