8K Coolant filter change.
Changed my coolant filter yesterday after roughly 8000 miles and its still doing its job. The first one I done was at 500, then 1500 and now this one. Was gonna go 10K but wanted to get it back on an even schedule like my oil changes. There was still a small amount of residue in the metal canister of the filter and some traces in the "fabric" pleats also. Have them drying to get a better idea of how much in those. This was what was poured out from the little bit of coolant still in the housing. Looks like its doing its job. Had been running Baldwin filters but Oreilly had the WIX so we will see how it goes this round. Not sure how long Ill go on this change, maybe 5K but not over 10k for sure.

It may be my computer and the color it shows, but that all looks like rusty material -- what's it look like in person?
How have you done your coolant changes, out of curiosity? The DW method? My filter goes on soon, hopefully soon enough...

I havent done any coolant changes but its on my list. All I have done is put the coolant filter on. My coolant looked good coming out of the clean and so does the degas bottle. The coolant inside the filter was dark however but was thinking it was from the sand.
