Bought a new Eco in May and Ford makes you finance 3 months with them for an additional rebate. My question, next month I can refi and the dealer is pushing for Ford's extended warranty which seems pretty expensive. Where are you guys that are purchasing aftermarket extended warranties going for them and how much? Would like something for 100,000 miles. Tried to do a search but couldn't find any threads.
Thanks,
Don't buy it. Even tho it is ford backed they are a bunch of thiefing liers. I have the powertrain warrenty and my turbo went out ford will not cover it even tho it is listed in the parts that are covered. Happened to 3 people that I know. Never buy an extended warrenty even the ford esp.
Just bought a used 2012 Ecoboost with 28k miles on it. It's a Ford Certified Pre-Owned, which means it has 12mo/12k Comprehensive and 7yr/100k Powertrain warranties.
They talked me into a 7yr/100k CompleteCare warranty (Comprehensive) for $2200, said that was cost and regular price was $3500, end of the month, blah blah blah.
I've never been one for extended warranties and felt pretty good with the Certified Pre-Owned warranty on the Powertrain, however it does not cover the PCM or any of the dash computers. Did I make the right move or should I cancel it? Thoughts? Did I pay too much for the warranty?
