Been a busy summer but thought Id jump on and say hi y'all before I jump in the truck and head to Vegas from the ranch in NorCal.
Moved my mom and dad from there little thirty acre place to mine. They are getting up there so their place was getting the best of them. For now they'll be in a 36 ft. Montana fifth wheel. My brother has thirty acres next to mine so he and his wife will be able to take care of them while we build them a cabin (maybe a modular) of some sort.
We moved their cattle up and will be adding to the herd as my place is larger, so I'm now in the cattle business.
Been up here for a week plus, have to head to Vegas for a week and a half, then I head home.
Nancy has been on the east coast visiting our grand daughter and son. Then she gets on a plane to Indiana to move another son to Iowa to work with my brother in his company.
All in all, fairly busy.
Hope all is well with y'all.
Sounds like the good kind of busy though, Mark Good to hear from you.
Yup, indeed.
Kinda takes away from the hobbies but it all comes out in the wash
Kinda glad to get my folks where they can just enjoy the sunset and watch their cattle.
Well 12 hours of driving later I'm in Vegas.
Lots of construction on almost every two lane road out there. Lotsa STOP signs.
I did try a different way than usual.
Instead of heading through the Hwy 70 canyon out to the 95 S in Nevada I took 70 to 395 to 136 out to Death Valley. One hell of a beautiful ride.
Sorry to be somber guys, but a great man died today.
His name was Mark Corwin and he directed Wheel of Fortune.
He was a great and loved friend and I will miss him desperately.
He didn't want anyone to know he was sick cause he was that kind of guy.
He made it fun.
If he knew I was unloading on you he'd be pissed.
Loved him.
