Temperature readings?!
Hey everybody. Maybe this was talked about somewhere in the threads but I can't find it. Everybody aware of their temp limits in there truck? Anybody care?!?! Had a 6.0l which I was aware of but not sure if the 6.7's are about the same? Most of you probably arn't using moniters (never found the stock gauges accurate at all lol) but what are you guys expecting for max temps for oil, coolant, trans etc? When I had my 6.0l, put a camper on it and decided to push it and see where it goes. No moniter at the time. Thought I made that baby work pretty hard! After that I got it tuned with a moniter but decided to do the same trip without the tune first and just moniter my temps.....was pretty shocked at how hot everything got stock!, so it made me more knowledgable now, as to what actually happens when your out there pushin ur truck to some extreme limits! I'm sure u guys have all been there.

For now I only use the gauge test mode to get temperature readings, which I figure if I plugged in a tuner it would give me the same numbers since they're probably all analog inputs to the PCM.
I cared about that kind of stuff when I drove the 6.oh and I'm kinda happy I don't have to worry about that too much anymore, but the statistics nerd in me wants numbers!
