P1212 code

Hello all!, I've got a 2000 year model 7.3,and it's been hard to start the last few weeks, put everything new for the glow plugs in it and its still hard to start, well now it won't start at all and I'm getting a p1212 code. The truck has a little over 250k+ on it. Any help would be great! Thanks!

i would check the icp "injector control pressure" sensor see if it has oil in the electrical plug. try to start it up with it unplugged . its located in the drivers side head up at the front. maybe some one can post up a pic for you , i dont have one handy.

I'd also check the IPR and make sure the nut on the back is tight.

Remove the connector from the ICP and see if it starts. Make sure your oil is up to the mark.

With everything you've done, and the problem being a 1212 code you probably need a new IPR. But I'd hate for you to start throwing parts at it, so wait until others chime in to try and help you eliminate other possibilities that cost less than a brand new IPR.

EDIT: Custom tunes/chip or stock programming?

The injector troubleshooting link in my signature may be of use with this one.

Check the wiring for the IPR too. Make sure the insulation isn't chaffed.
