Hunted alone this past season, my son broke his arm at the very beginning then for some reason he just never went after the cast came off. And I do not see eye to eye with my father so I never asked him this year again, pictures were very few from this season
Wow, I forgot all about this thread. Glad to see you’re out doing what you love. I didn’t make it to the woods at all last year. This year doesn’t look much more promising with a baby due any day.
I haven't updated in a while either. I got a nice old gobbler with my bow in Spring 2020, then couldn't find a legal elk in Sept or get close enough to a mule deer. I had several close calls on late season Blacktails and missed a doe with my bow. I got another nice gobbler with my bow spring 2021. Then we moved from Oregon to Southern Georgia, so I'm getting ready for whitetails in a couple weeks now.
I haven’t managed a successful hunt with my bow yet, but that’s my goal. I tend to just enjoy being out there. Not as serious about the harvest as I could be. I need to get back to shooting it more regularly. Come to think of it, I should probably restring it.

So far in the 2 years I've been bow hunting I've shot 3 turkeys. Nothing else yet. There are a lot of deer around our new property in GA thats surrounded by woods,, and the surrounding neighbors have given me permission to hunt their land adjoining mine. Plus feral hogs down here, but need to find a place to hunt them.
This is two weeks ago before Christmas, first solo hunt for Odie. His father my older male has left hip problems now in his old age so I left him home. Broke my heart walking out and having him bark /cry at the front door, but it was good to see his son inherited his fathers genes and that im gonna have another amazing hunter on my hands
Looks like Bart needs some shelving support there. Our upright has elk and venison. Had to leave some room for the wife's goodies. Large Chest Freezer is full of elk, venison and fish.
I was able to connect on 2 whitetails with my bow this season (first deer with a bow ever). One small doe, one button buck that I thought was a doe or else I would have let him walk. I hit him a little high quartering away and put another into him frontal to end it quickly.
I still have 6 days left in the season and still hoping for my first decent buck with a bow.
