1356 Transfer Case Questions
I recently pulled my Borg Warner 1356 Electric transfer case out of my 1991 F150. It works fine but was leaking terrible. I purchased a gaket/seal kit online and will be installing myself. I pulled the rear housing off removed the speedo gear and the snap ring off the shaft to pull the case apart. As I pulled it apart things moved and I did not get a good look at all as to how the gears were sitting on the motor shaft. I have been dry fitting the case back together and can not seem to get the shaft to come out the rear half of the case enough to be able to put the snap ring back on. I am sure I just didnt put this back together right or am overlooking somethig but not sure. How does this all go back together? Help and thank you
