Set the parking brake and chock the wheels. Put the trans in neutral.
Remove the nut that holds the shift lever to the trans shaft. Remove the lever. Unplug the wiring harness from the TRS. Remove the two bolts and pull the TRS off. It tends to stick and may take a lot of effort to get it off.
When installing the new part align the mark on the inside moving part to the matching line on the outside of the TRS. Reverse the process to put it all back together.
