So I recently picked up a 100cc moose pump and new BB codes and now I'm looking to get rid of the crushed down pipe off my 94 factory turbo. I'm hoping to get a 3" dp to match my 3" straight pipe from DP back. I'm aware that the factory turbo outlet is 2.25. I've read about the ATS housing upgrade but it seems expensive and I think discontinued as well? I've see many memebers signatures with 3 or 4" dps and I'd like to join the club. Thanks
From what little Ive gathered (mine has the 3" turbo outlet) the easiest way to get a 3" DP on yours is to cut the end off your current downpipe and weld it onto a 3" downpipe so itll all bolt into place.
Not to throw anyone under the bus or start a war but you could've gotten an equal or better IP for less...
I agree with kcOstop, but that is an argument just waiting to happen. For the 3" DP mod you need to pull the exhuast turn down off the turbo and cut it off above the taper where it is 3", from there you just weld on a 3" v-flange modify your DP to fit and done. IIRC PSD DP takes a little work but fits.
Racin does this mod too if you dont have a welder / or other tools for the job.

I wasn't looking to start an argument, although I can see how it could turn into one. I just know that I'll be in the market for an IP soon and because I'll be on a budget, I'd like to know who else builds a good "performance" pump and how their prices compare to a Moose pump.

I actually came across their website the other day. I hadn't read anything about them at the time so I didn't know much about them. Seems like that may be a very good option.
Thank you for the link, I want to replace my pump and injectors once money allows. Connestoga diesel is like an hour from me but IDK jack about their product/quality and I've read what you guys have accomplished.
Thanks for the link! Are you using a psd downpipe with it, sorry if i missed something. I can do that outlet mod for sure but then which downpipe to use. I also noticed you didn't heat wrap your downpipe, any reason why to or why not to do this.
As for the pump, I read lots about the moose pumps and all the feedback was good. I was aware of R&D performance at the time but I just didn't see enough feedback to go for it. Since then I've read lots of threads by Justin and the products he makes. In the future I'm going to do an all out build from R&D parts but this engine isn't the one that will see it. On another note, this moose pump puts out more than enough fuel and the increase in power is huge. My experience with Conestoga was deffinetely a good one.
yeah. i got a 3 inch obs psd down pipe and modded it. pics of that are at the end of that thread of mine. nope, no heat wrap any were. on the down pipe it is only gonna help keep heat off the trans tunnel. i have felt my tunnel inside the cab after driving and honestly can't feel a difference.
need to do a little firewall beating for the down pipe to fit without rubbing.

Thanks a lot. I'm hoping this downpipe will be noticeable both in power and exhaust tone. I'm tired of my truck sounding like an n/a. I'll try to do an intake and down pipe at the same time, which is hopefully soon
