Well hey guys!
Got the white truck back on the road after a long winter. First day driving it was yesterday..Sunny and warm out. Driving along minding my own business. And out of no where a mini van rear ends a Subaru suv and plows him into my lane. at about 45-50mph. I tried and tried to get around it. Didn't happen. I ended up going over the hood of the suv. No one was hurt except my emotions lol. My baby was sitting in the middle of the road hurt. I jumped in and fired it up to move it and she ran and moved. Not very well but she moved. Both the mini van and Subaru were totaled, junk. On impact my iced coffee fell onto the floor, and my iphone landed perfectly in the damn cup. Ruined that also. Just my luck. So day one of insurance bull crap, I am going to redo the truck, no if ands buts about it. IF they want to try and get me to use cheap aftermarket parts I will fight till the end. So far this has cost me over 500 out of pocket i.e tow, and iphone. So heres a few pictures.
P.s ,y arm was through the steering wheel resting on the dash...Take a look at my drag link! Am I crazy for fixing it? Or buy a Superduty?
Kind of ironic cuz I went to the local yard today because they had a CCLB 4x4 white 97 that just came in.
Went to see if the doors/box were worth getting.
The two rears were pretty good, very minor rust starting on the inside underneath. The box was bent up pretty good, but rust free.
luckily it looks like the rocker escaped major damage.that would be my biggest worry.if rocker pushen in ,it may never be the same.all the rest is easily enough fixed.wich is what I woud do also.dang subies....
Sorry to hear about the truck Kris. It was one of the cleaner trucks on FTE. I can't see the pics from my work computer, but good luck putting it back together.
