Sorry to hear about the truck Kris. It was one of the cleaner trucks on FTE. I can't see the pics from my work computer, but good luck putting it back together.
Thanks travis, you made my day lol! First things first....Where did you get your cowl hood??
Cuz im gonna fight till the end to fix this thing. Already gave the insurance adjuster an ear full about how i am NOT using crappy parts. Its going to be 100% If not better! lol He seems nervous to come see it now.
You guys are all awesome! And people wounder why i drive fords. Its because of owners like all of you! And fourms like this! I will start a Resto thread ASAP!!!
Sounds good Kris, I suppose that insurance adjustor wanted to just total it?? My nephew who buys insurance wreaks at auction said they will total a OBS in a heartbeat for hardly any damage.
hey kris. 8 months ago i offered 2K over asking price and you wouldnt sell it to me.
im just saying this would have never happened!

Look at Cervinis and VFN Fiberglass. Either way you go you will have to use a prop rod when the hood is up since those are all fiberglass hoods. I like the Cervinis hoods a lot, but if you want a little taller cowl, VFN makes a 5" cowl hood that I'm thinking about getting for my gasser. LOL
for fit, finish and general quality cervinis for the win!!! Vfn....well...its good enough for a race car that is seen from 25' is about all I have seen.
I want a cervinis for mine since my hood is junk anyway...
I had my first accident 2 weeks ago. Dark and rainy, and the lady in front of me slammed on her brakes. When the road's wet, slamming on my brakes practically does nothing. Luckily, all i needed was a new license plate bracket, and no other damage. However, she needed a new bumper, a new trunk lift, a new set of tail lights; all for a brand new 2013 Nissan Maxima...
I'd definitely get it fixed, I may not know a whole lot about my truck, because I'm sort of new and it's my first car, but I do know that the engine is priceless compared to anything else on the road
Thanks for the words again guys! Well two different insurance adjusters so far. One said hell get a junk yard door and fender...replace quarter panel, and get two new rims and tires....ha also said the steering leak was due to my power steering cap being loose , I'm sure it has nothing to do with my totally bent drag link.
Second adjuster said its totaled. Doesn't feel safe putting it back on the road. He said my truck is in average condition, due to a cracked dash pad, and a dent on the inside of my tailgate....most ridiculous sentence I've ever herd. Like ever. Said my truck is worth 500$ the way it sits. SO I'm calling my lawyer tomorrow and going for 10k and my truck. I was going along minding my own business, not fair to lose out on my truck. Not after all I've done. Can I go buy a superduty? Of course I can. But I'm not leaving this forum!! The obs guys are a rare dying breed. Not many understand! Thank you all and ill keep you all posted!! There will be one heck of a build thread!
