ive got a 78 f350 dually built just down the road in oakville ontario.odometer reads just 106,000,and says its in kliks.does the odometer actually count in kliks or miles.also how do i determine if its rolled over or if its original.thanks.
To the best of my knowledge, the odometer matches the units for the speedometer. If the speedometer has both, the odometer matches the "outer" (primary) units.

The odometers in mile readings stop at 99,999.9. If yours is reading 106,000 it is not reading in miles. Not really sure about "kliks" but IIR kliks was a term that the Canadians use. No real way to tell if the mileage is accurate by the odometer reading as it could of had the head changed at anytime in the last 35 years. how about a picture of it?
My dent has been "in the family" since new so I know the history and know the odometer is original. On other older vehicles I have purchased, I know the odometer is non original/adjusted/ect. It is what it is. I would never claim or expect "original miles" on an older vehicle unless I knew for sure. Condition and repair/rebuild history matters more.
came from a local city cemetary dept.im the actual second owner,so im thinking its original.btw, the only thing on it is km/h.speed in miles is on the inside km/h is on the outside.actual reading is 06800.0.
I've got the same basic truck and yes it's in kliks. I'm the second owner of mine and it read 112,115 when I bought it. Mine was and still is parked from december to may. Depending how your truck is set up it could be an expensive nightmare to drive during the winter. Takes mine 10 mins to warm up and the tires are so hard their like ski's and not enough weight in back for traction. That's the truck in the avatar.
i hardly use the truck.only put 700kl on it in 7 yrs,yes 700.bought it just to build my driveway.been tryin to get rid of it for quite awhile but the lack of power steering seems to deter people.why they would'nt get that option is beyond me.anyway, how can i tell if the odometer has rolled over, 06800.0 seems a little low.
How clean/dirty is your motor. In your part of the country there's lots of rust, how bad is yours. It's possible for it to be ultra low mileage being a cemetary truck as their sometimes used to only to hold grave dirt and 6 pieces of sod can be put into a car. Check to see if your starter or alternator is original, neither one lasts more than 80,ks.
