Odometer acting weird.

Odometer acting weird.
Need a little help. Got a 99 F250 SD XLT. At around the 100,000 mile mark, the odometer started getting weird. The speedo works as well as the trip meter but the odometer is only registering about 5% of the mileage driven. This is a good thing until ya trade it in. Anyone got an answer? Thanks in advance for any input. Bob
