Thank you again Conanski. Ill look for a weld on fitting though I don't have access to anything at the moment to weld stainless, I bet I can find something.
You can weld stainless with any welder that can weld plain steel. Stick, TIG, GAS, or MIG will all work. The welds may not be as pretty or rust free if you don't use stainless rod or wire but the welds will work just as well.
Isn't there a spray for your welds too? My local exhaust shop always sprays the welds with some kind of rattle can paint. Prolly some engine paint but it has held up against rust longer then my headers.
Yep.. I have welded stainless parts into my exhaust systems with plain flux core wire in my wire feed welder, it's not the prettiest weld but they never fail.. the non stainless parts rust out first.

I guess the odds of me welding stainless ever again wouldn't justify buying a roll of stainless wire for my mig unless I can get it dirt cheap (and I hear that stuff is expensive though I have nevver looked). I'd hate to spend 1300 dollars on all stainles and ceramic coated exhaust to have one rust spot in the whole thing because I save 20 bucks welding it with regular wire. I am going to go look for the stainless wire for my mig and see if its doable price wise, I'm always game to learn something new.
This might be a time to just try to find a shop that can do the welding with stainless. You might pay for that job but you're not buying something that you're only going to use very little of and then have it sit around until you just throw it away.
