I just wanna know what exhaust setup are you using on your 67-72 if your is tagged antique in your state? Brand of muffler? Pipe size diameter? Single or dual pipes?

I'm thinking on going with the dynomax muffler, dual exhaust, 2 1/2 OD pipes on 390 4 barrell. Would that be too loud on a truck with antique tags?

The term "Loud" is highly subjective. Same with the term "noise" - it depends what time of day and the circumstances under which it occur.

Does it really matter if it has "antique" tags?

Your setup would be better with headers and two mufflers. Stay away from Dynomax's VT mufflers.. you do not want any moving parts inside a muffler. If you want it relatively quiet, project the exhaust tip beyond the body line. Ending it short just traps the soundwaves under the truck and causes it to "boom".

The exhaust planned for my 70 include Hedman Elite headers, 2.25-inch mandrel bent tubing, and Flowmaster Super 40s.

The exhaust on my 73 include Hedman PN 89120s, 2.5-inch mandrel bent tubing, and Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers.

Short or long headers? Who sells headers for a automatic trany C6? I can find them for manual but not auto. I thought about going with one of the dynomax ultra mufflers.

Go long tubes.

Trannies don't use headers. Headers connect to the engine! Just kidding! I couldn't resist!

Hedman, Flowtech, Hooker, Mad Dog, and L&L all offer headers. Visit Summit Racing, Jeg's, and the following.

In my opinion, no. Each has pluses and minuses. Some have thicker flanges and some have thinner gauge tubing than the others. And in the end, you get what you pay for.

Typically the more it costs, the better the materials, fit, and finish. You'll have to decide what fits your budget and your needs.

Is my 67 F100 2wd regular cab a camper special? If so none of those places you mentioned has anything that fits a camper special except for maybe jegs.

Bone stock, original, single exhaust complete with rusted out muffler. Nice and quiet.

Heck, I dont' know... It's your rig . I can't tell what your rig is based on the information you have or have not provided.

Sounds like ya need to do more research at Fordification.com on your VIN, data plate, and surfing the various parts houses:

National Parts Depot
Dennis Carpenter Reproductions
Mac's Antique Auto Parts
LMC Truck
Blue Oval Truck Parts
John's F Funhundreds
Jeff's Bronco Graveyard
Summit Racing
Jeg's

lots of work =
1) had to space motor up 1/2 inch so headers didn't hit motor mount perches
2) had to modify gear selector on c6 (cut in half shorten weld back together)
3) drivers side exhaust to header had to make angle to clear trans gear selector )

Ok, Do you have write up on this on the forum? I had a 72 F100 with 360 C6 had to change the donut gaskets. Had to pack a lunch when removing and installing on the passenger side. Frame was right there in the way things. No problems on the drivers side.
