hood parts question.

hood parts question.
whats up guys, i was going to order new hood hardware and hinges, latches etc. my question is this,
Are the parts to the hood as follows or am i missing something?
hood hinge
hood hinge spring
hook-hood latch
bolt-hook
bolt-safety catch
what i think i am missing is the actual hook part that comes off the hood and hooks into the hook hood latch, in the attatched picture it is not numbered, nor listed, and it is greyed out like it doesnt exist, any insight would be great.

That is the secondary saftey latch. It is avalible NOS from DC and probally Green sales. I have purchased one from ford about ten years ago.
This latches into the square hole on the upper valance next to the primary latch #23.
You are going to put stock stuff on that bad boy?
I will have to get some pics of the tilt forward hood kit the boss has on his 63 uni. Can you say trick?

yea surprising ly im going with a nice mix of both, im even keeping the door handles, sotkc tail lights and all, believe it or not. i am all about a good resoration along wiht the custom work. it counts for the finer details.

no1, That is one part that you do not want to be without. I don't know how many times over the years that my hood hasn't popped and that safety latch has saved my butt every time.
