IDI Pyrometer

I plan on turning up the pump on my 88 7.3. I have been looking at the Auto Meter 5744 http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...gid=2685&sid=7
What wire do I use for the (to dash 12V (+) Lighting), is that key on power? There is also a wire (Red to switched 12V (+) positive), which wire do I use for this. I would like the lighting for the gauge to be tired into the dimmer with all the other factory gauges. I plan on putting the probe on the driver side just before the flange. Thanks in advance!

For the light, find a brown wire in the dash, iirc that is the dash lights. Check with a test light first obviously. For the key on, cant help ya, didnt think it would need one.

No, thats wire you want to tie into the dimmer switch. Like has been mentioned find a wire running to one of the dash lights. I ended up splicing into mine just after the dimmer switch, but I can't remember which color it was, you can use a voltmeter to probe the back of the dimmer switch and see which one changes voltage when you turn the ****.

This is the one you want key on power. For some reason I think I tied into the wiper switch for that wire. There are several other possibilities though.
