Glowshift dimmer wire hookup

I installed the 3 in 1 combo and can't get the dimmer to work. Dang thing is bright at night! I hooked it up to the yellow wire under the dash (per diesel-manor instructions). When testing the dimmer switch, the yellow wire would dim out my test probe when I had lights on. I am breaking the inside plastic pieces on the headlight switch while trying to pull it out. Because of this, I haven't fully taken it out yet.

I called Glowshift and they stated I had to hook up to dimmer switch, not wire, they did not advise which one though. Where or which wire did you hook up to on the dimmer switch?

Thanks for any help you can give.

I have the blue led and they are way bright & can't be dimmed. I use a on/off switch if they are too bright at night.

I just bought some glowshifts and checked the instructions and it stated to not hook it up to a dimmer wire it won't work. To "dim" them you only need to apply 12V to the wire. They recommend tapping into the headlights or using a switch.

My instructions don't say that. Only thing mentioned on dimmer is that it is optional. Looking at the dimmer switch wires, (from under neath because I can't pop out the headlight switch without breaking it more), there are several. One black, one brown, one blue with a red stripe. Right now I am having an issue with the pressure sender with this set up. It will read a good pressure for a short time then it will read 37-39 psi, no more. I hooked up a mechanical gauge to it and it reads 55-62. Calling them today to try to get a new one. I like the looks of the gauge and the fact I can keep the grab handle, but this product is starting make me second guess my decision on purchasing it.

Curts 05, how did you hook up the on off switch? Did you hook it up to the dimmer switch wire itself? I am not electrically proficient, but can follow instructions pretty good.

I have one from them to measure my coolant pressure and it works great. for the dimmer you need to apply 12V to the orange wire (I believe its the orange) and for this i tapped into one of the wires for the lights on my 4 wheel drive buttons that turn on with the dash lights... a volt meter is needed...

It explains how to hook up the dim feature and not to use the dimmer in the downloaded instructions online.
