Simple, The super duty is really the only truly heavy duty pickup you can buy stock. I love my wife silverado, but it's a pavement princess compared to my silverback Obama crushing, Republic of Guntana V-10 flagship! Out here we use our trucks, to haul hay, logs, dead animals, big RVs, ATVs, sleds, and anything else we can scare off liberal flakes with, so why drive anything else really. Besides, I like ford because they never took any bail out money. They are really the last true american company. I am a union firefighter, and I refuse to buy even an american made toyota that is built from japanese parts and profits japanese CEOs.

I got rear ended by a Grand Am. She hit the trailer hitch receiver. Didn't even scratch my paint. She was totaled.

Because I can!!! I have always admired big trucks, and finally I was able to afford one. I have had lifted a Nissan and a lifted jeep, but nothing like king rex (named after the T-rex disnosaur from my son) I could have towed our camper with a F-150, but I really wanted the biggest. I would go to the auto show the past few years with my son, and we would both sit in the front seat of the big 350 and look around.. "Son, now this is a truck"

Now, I take him to baseball or school and say..

"Now, This is MY truck"

Something to be said about numbers...

I think the Midwest has got it right. When Driving 7,000 miles last summer, I would estimate the trucks I passed on all those 2 lane roads, were 60% Ford, 30% Dodge, and 10% Chevy.

These guys know a good truck, using them everyday for work.

Owned a 1970 F-250 way back when and have stuck to what got me there.

Because back in 1998-99 when they first came out it was something I had to have. Unfortunately I wasn't able to own one until 2008. But I do use the truck for hauling and working. My current 08 V10 is such a great truck for me and hope it can give me years of service. A few pics of the F250 and current 350 doing what they do best..

What part of the world is that?

Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like you need heat over AC...

I bought mine because i needed a truck that was more capable than a half ton and a super duty is a REAL heavy duty pickup. Sure i could pull 8 and 9k with my f150 but its not really made to do that every day. As far as fuel eco goes, i cannot complain... Im getting 14 to 15 mpg empty and 11 to 12.8 with a load on the truck. My truck is an 06 250 with the 5.4 and 3:73s.

Central NJ - 4 miles from the Pennsylvania border.

I do not mind the cold, can almost always bundle up and put more clothes on, so heat is not usually a problem, plus the engine heat keeps my feet warm so I am good, BUT can only take so many clothes off, hence the need for air conditioning

Bottom line I was just trying to be funny as I showed why I drive a superduty, the real reason is because I want to

I was being funny too... But was just curious where all that snow was. I hear you on the heat. I hate it, but alas, we don't get snow here and about two days of upper 30s at night, is all you could ever hope for.

I drive a Super Duty because I just like them !

I use my Super Duty for my work, and to haul my slide-in camper.

i bought this truck b/c i wanted to learn how to become a auto mechanic the hard way as a second career...j/k, just needed a little love from the right person!! i bought it to tow my boat in the summer and not embarrass myself on the boat ramp, and even though i bought it used, its the only vehicle i feel comfortable driving b/c our tax dollars didn't go towards saving this company. and it gets the job done!

Don't hate but I got mine because it was half the price of the comparable Chevy I actually wanted, lol. No regrets though. Decent truck so far just have to work out a few bugs.

Based on this photo... is air condition an absolute necessity???

That makes me laugh because I would pay double to have the Ford
