Why do you drive a super duty?

Reading through this thread I found my self nodding (yeah I love how I can do that) and kept having flashbacks from over my years haha. It's all true, and it's all great. Even if you don't intend to haul every day, it's better to have and not need than to need and not have.

I bought my Super Duty because I wanted to. I make the payment so I choose what I drive.
I currently have no purpose for owning a 25ft long heavy truck. It uses too much gas and costs too much to register/insure every year.
I bought it because I wanted one, liked the way they look, and pay less per month for it than I was for my 4yr old F-150 with 70k miles on it.
I do plan on eventually buying a large enclosed trailer and maybe some day picking up a travel trailer/toy hauler.
Right now the heaviest thing I tow is a 5x8 utility trailer that has either my ATV on it or 2 motorcycles. The most I haul in it is either an ATV or my 400lb sport bike. With the 8ft bed I can put my entire ATV into the bed and close the tailgate. At most the trailer weighs 2,000lbs when loaded.
I don't drive my truck very often because I'm an Over the Road truck driver so I'm gone 90% of the time. My truck just sits and waits. When I come home I drive it like I stole it and enjoy every minute of owning it.

Slow a steady there huh? What did it run?
I was thinking I might take my truck and car down to the strip this year just to see what they'd do. Not that either one is particularly fast.

Why do I own a SD, especially a 6.4, don't haul a big trailer, "currently", just use it for pleasure, at 54 I can drive anything I want, and I do, and enjoy the crap out of it every time I turn the key, hell I even enjoy the ride to work as much as I enjoy the ride home from work, not many people can say that.
