My power door locks are acting up they work. Fine from the passenger switch but won't unlock from the drivers switch or key fob. Any tips where to start looking ? I don't think its the tin foil trick since it works fine from the passenger switch but I could be wrong
On some Fords, the driver's side switch is the 'parent' switch through which power is fed to the other switches. I do not know if this is true for the Super Duty.
If the door locks move smartly when operated from the pass. side, I'd suspect the switch. It's easy to pop out the switch assembly and take a look. Switches can be found on eBay at times and auto parts stores.
Check the wire harness at the door hinge area on the driver's side for damage, too.
Just curious, are you a crew cab or two door? I assume a crew cab (don't have one) that the door locks will operate from any door? If so and the drivers switch is the only one not working it must be bad
its a super cab, I did pull the switch and check to make sure the connection wasn't loose I'll check it with the volt meter too. Is there a seperate relay for the drivers side versus the passenger, that doesn't make sense but maybe. I don't really suspect the switch though since it has the same problem with the key fob which must be tied into the relay.
I am having trouble opening both doors on my 1997 extended cab F-250HD. I am wondering, if one door lock is hung up, would it hang up the other, or since both are hard to work, it might be a system problem. I can get them open eventually, but it takes a few minutes of trying to turn the key with a lot of force, on either door.

that sounds like a worn out key, a good lock smith can fix that for you. My key is worn and I have the same problem, In fact I can only start the truck with one side of the key lol.
switches appear to be fine. I was using my idiot light to trigger the actuators with the female connecter that goes into the switch on the door panel.(resistance through light bulb was enough was enough to ground it out.) On the drivers side it locks well and on the passenger side it locks and unlocks.
where the heck are the relays for the power door locks on my truck? 99 f250 diesel?
I didn't see what year your truck is, might be early indications of a GEM module problem, through '01 I think. Other than that there are relays in the fuse block(s) under the hood and inside the cab I believe. If you have the owners manual it should at least point you in the right direction for those.
found the problem, Hoaky stereo shop that installed the alarm/ keyless entry 7 years ago used wiretaps in the door harnes in the plastic bellows between the door and cab. All the moving finally broke the wire. I soldered it all back together.
