Hi everyone,
I need your help once again for upcoming vehicle inspection. My 1996 Ranger runs ok but my check engine has come on. Using a scanner tool , indicates my cat monitor wont go to ready state and my error code is P0141. According to my research it indicates one of my 02 sensors. Does anyone know how to determine if its the one before or after the cat converter? About 6 months ago I had an exhaust leak repaired around my converter so I know I cant return it under warranty . If its the rear sensor , It looks fairly easy to replace but the front sensor looks a bit cramped. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! And thanks for reading.
Thanks! I was hoping it was that 2nd sensor . Good idea to chech the fuses too. I had trouble in the past with good fuses but corroded fuse sockets making them seem bad.
I have a 98 f250 with P0141 code. I believe its the one downstream but how do I know if its the drivers side or passenger side? The reader didn't specify. It just says Sensor Heater Circuit.

The code indicates either '1' or '2', with the former being on the right side bank looking from the flywheel forward. Number 2 would be the left bank. The second digit says up stream or down stream sensor. 11 would be right/passenger upstream. 21 would be drivers/left upstream.
