There's another round headlamp radiator support only used with Super Cooling Radiator (D3TZ-16138-E), via ND
Im thinking maybe I might get this rad support,I am putting a 460 in my truck.I have one of those ebay alum.rad which ill try out first ,but if I have to fall back on a super cooling Ill be equiped, just have to modify for alum rad,has anyone ever mod a non super cooling support for a super cooling rad and how did that work?thanks
Actually, I sorta did this years ago.
The Pumpkin came with standard cooling. It also had aftermarket A/C and always ran warmer than I liked.
I came across a heavy duty (AKA supercooling) radiator. The passenger side bolted up to the original location. The drivers side was several inches wider and couldn't use the original bolt holes, but the holes are already in the proper location for the u-nuts (I used plain bolt and nut). The only other thing is the radiator support now overlaps the drivers side of the radiator by several inches. I probably could have cut it out to unshroud the radiator but never did.
cool,I cant see where that would hurt, over heating and all,so save a little money and move onto sandblasting and epoxy paint.I have a 79 rad core,so I bought round headlight buckets, then this past summer, spotted a front clip real nice fenders ready to be crushed, they gave me the whole clip ,so now I have a rad support with round buckets attached.thanks Mike nice work on them floors oh yea the clip was a 77/grill and all/ dent free, just need to clean it up.
