Well, first and foremost I will Thank all you guys, we're back in business. She builds boost and runs now cus i blew the turbo hose off on the way home.Lol But to offer what we found,possibly to help the next guy. First checked pigtail for power, it was good, put power to solenoid, heard it click. Cycled it a few times with battery power. Started truck plugged in, motor smoothed out,unplugged and plugged a few times changed each time. Revved up ,the horrific air sound gone. Put scanner on it, VGT% at idle 72% revved up down to say 50%. So all i can assume is actuator was hung up????? Time for a BEER!! or 6. Bill

As of late, I have been replacing more than my share of actuators lately. Doing the test above, along with having a known good actuator to swap in very quickly and test with, is how this can be easily diagnosed.

So could it be a more of a hit and miss actuator/versus i was thinking cus i had everything apart when i did hpop stc upgrade that maybe i got some dirt in there and it finally hung it up. If not and theyr're known to be faulty, where is the best pricing for new. Good news is ive checked and cleaned every probe and sensor on the truck. Lol Thanks for your help!!!

Mike you Just fixed his truck or diagnosed it and thats a HUGE Part of the Battle sometimes
I thought it was a GREAT Idea Mike a Good way to test as these VGT silinoids are Pretty SPENDY IIRC
The way I take it all he did was Cycle Power ON/OFF a Bunch of times
So maybe that broke it free if it was Hungup
Im wondering if its getting Flakey VGT
If it acts up again I would think VGT replacement is in order
