Conversion will put him at around 14.8. Since the scanner he used did not add a decimal to the figures, and one was 15, I would say it was close enough to being good.

I guess you could undo the downpipe clamp to vent the Exhaust to see if its plugged

I doubt it plugged but this would Rule it Out

Who knows you might be the #2 guy with plugged exhaust LOL

I unhooked down pipe from back of turbo this morning, hard to really seperate it that far,so Im sure still had a fair amount of exhaust going down tailpipe. I took for ride, didnt seem any better. Still had ebp unplugged, should i have plugged that back in? Idk im thourohly confused as from a stop and go on the highway it went from alive to dead. Ill throw something out there, just my thought. I have been struggling for 20,000 miles with poor performance up until you guys mentioned the hpop. Replaced and it was great. Is it possible all of that unburnt fuel has partially plugged muffler?? I see no markings on the muffler, so i'm only assuming that when cat was taken off it was replaced.

I did some reading of past posts, black smoke no power. Hypothetically speaking: the underboost would not give motor enough air to burn fuel? Turbo was cleaned and pulled dust cover and pulled actuator back and forth and verified vanes opened and closed as video showed. I assume vanes open to make boost? Is it possible solenoid that opens and closes them is bad? I unplugged it ,no change in motor sound and revved up no difference? Shouldnt there be some sort of difference

Yes there definitely should be a noticeable difference when the VGT actuator is plugged in or not. If you have access to a wiring pigtail, (exactly identical to that of a 7.3L injector or IPR connector), you can test this out yourself, by holding it up to 1200 RPMs in PARK or NEUTRAL and supplying your own power and ground directly to the actuator via a pigtail connector. When you do this, you should hear the turbo spool up almost immediately, and stop when you remove the power and ground supply. If it does not, the VGT actuator is bad. By doing this, you elimate the need to get your hands on a scan tool to take active command of the actuator.

Cool. My cousin has done alot of work on 7.3 I'll see if hes got one and try it. Is that something that can just go bad? Is there another way to test if i cant get a pigtail. I can have him scan again, i assume there is vgt values that should change, Just takes me a day to track him down.
