Pulled turbo this morning for p0299 code, didnt find really anything, cleaned everything re installed. No Good. Same no power very little boost on gauge. I guess Ill back up is there something internally that can go wrong with cooler. All i know is when you rev it and let off it sounds like a tornado internally coming from outlet side of cooler. The bright side is even my 11 year old can pull the turbo. Lol
Ya we really need to look at some live data Here
But atleast we can rule Dirty turbo out
you have 3 pressure sensors if 1 is bad will result in your problems
Without a Gauge you may as well take it to the dealer and it might endup there anyway I hope not though
Do you have a Gauge and posted the BARO--MAP--EBP Sensor values somewhere and I missed it???????????????????????

No I dont have gauge, I can have my cousin check those 3. Thats with KOEO? Pulled turbo Sat and cleaned up ring and mating surfaces and neversiezed and put back together, wasnt really that bad.
My cousin has a Solus scanner, will that do what we need? Thats how i found the p0299 code and hpop issue a few weeks ago.
I dont know much about that particulair scanner but IIRC thats a GOOD ONE
Isnt it one the better snap-on scanners????
Post these Sensor vallues at KOEO=(Key On Engine Off)
BARO
MAP
EBP
I guess since you have to Borrow the Scanner lets get it ALL Now
OPERATING VALUES
Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to And EOT at 185* or higher
A/C OFF
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#1-------KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#2-------Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#3-------High Idel (2500RPM)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
ALL^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Taken in Park or Nuetral
Again for these sensor
BARO
MAP
EBP
what about your HPO problem is it Fixed?????????????Keep in mind Boost works from exhaust so everything before it must work properly
How ever if you have the P0299 and a HPO Problem I doubt they are relaited but tell us about the HPO Problen

I see well that DTC relaites more to the EBP sensor than the turbo itself
the ebp sensor is what the PCM uses to Control turbo output on an 05+ AFAIK maybe some 04 But I am unshure and that dont affect this anyways

Yes hpop was a partial remains of o ring from upgaded fitting to feed line. Truck has been awesome till this deal. Stopped for school bus took off heard a blunt pop and no power, black smoke. As soon as i can get a hold of my cousin i will post values. Yes Snap on Scanner. Thanks

Sorry, forgot did find hole in cac tube, which has been replaced, maybe that was pop?
So you replaced that and Still no Luck?????
Due to the DTC you have I assume NO it did NOT fix
Be a good idea to check the Exhaust uppipes and ypipe for leaks the exhaust pipe going to turbo
Yes replaced no luck checked for leaks. i didnt seem to find anything, felt around got under trick had my son rev but hard to hear cus i hear exhaust pipe. Do the up pipes oy y pipe prone to break or possibly just crack, if so i take it that not much of a leak can cause problem.
Underboost maybe? Check all your boots. I had a very, very small (under a 1/4") split on the bottom of the lower boot that caused a "whoosh" sound and limited boost (under 5-7 psi) under acceleration or load. I found it by feel, not sight. The split occurred after having the turbo replaced. Hope that helps.
