axel wedges?

axel wedges?

i replaced my rear u joint and nloticed the angle of the drive shaft loked about ready to bind up, the yoke on the axel is straight with the drive shaft on about a 15*-25* angle and i was wondering if axel shims would corect it and if i should correct it.

yoke to yoke should look like a straight line

wel mine are deffinatly not in a straight line, so i should look in to getting axel wedges?

so the yoke on the driveshaft was directly in line with the yoke coming out of the pumpkin... this now conserns me...

For a conventional two u joint shaft, the centerline of the transmission and the differential need to be parallel

The universals at each end of the shaft need to have the same angle, otherwise they will be destroyed in short order.
You can't just point the pumpkin at the output.
