I wouldn't worry about it too much with that filter setup. I know of at least 2 trucks that I helped with the Hutch mod that aren't running any foot at all and didn't notice any difference without it. They have some sort of prepump filter. That's the main thing.
Only problem I can see is not getting fuel when near empty. If you measured the height of the assembly including the foot, then forgot the foot upon install, you would have like an inch and a quarter of gap to the bottom of the tank, IIRC. But no worries if you got the pipe well down near the bottom, or if you never let the fuel get really low.

Pretty sure he remembered the foot just forgot to re-install the screen.
If that's the case it's not a problem, the pre-pump filter will catch anything before it can damage the pump itself.
I run with no screen on factory pickup foot with the pre pump filter and no problems for 7k so far.I believe the hutch mod instructions said to remove screen,at least the one from driven diesel.

That varies. If you follow guzzle's instructions he has you put the screen back in. I personally put it back in for that extra layer of "protection" in case something too big for the pickup tube ends up in the tank. That and after 130k my screen had nothing on it, it was totally clean so I didn't see it as being a restriction in the future.
Thanks for the input, I don't know how I forgot to put screen back in. Tank was very clean after 11 years, perhaps because I mostly always run tank to 1/8 full before refueling.

I'm one of those trucks.
No screen, no umbrella, no problems in 30k miles since Roland and I did my in tank mods.
You'll be fine.
Personally I don't like going below 1/4 tank before I fill it back up.

You are right, the S/D instructions tell how to remove the screen from the foot.
