I am taking the engine (V10) out of my F250 which is seized so I cannot turn engine over to remove torque converter nuts. Can I pull the engine out with torque attached to engine? If not what should I do?
Thanks in advance
I don't see a reason why you can't do that. Just make sure that you don't let the
engine hang or you will mess up the pump and the TC. It may be a better idea to have
some help with a transmission jack so you can keep things inline and not damage the
shaft going into the TC and pump on the transmission. Just go SLOW.
When you put the TC back in the transmission make sure that you get it in all the way
so that it is fully engaged or you will toast your transmission in short order.
