Fuel - air - spark. Those are the three items needed for combustion.

I assume it has a healthy battery and cranks but does not lite off. Or does it crank and attempt to lite off??

A spark should be white or blue. A yellow spark is weak. Pull a plug wire, hold it close to the block, and crank it.

Clean all contacts and check that the plug wires are firmly seated on the cap and the plugs. Check the cap for cracks and make sure it is correctly seated on the distributor. Lastly, check the rotor for scoring and carbon tracking.

Please show us some courtesy and use punctuation Parsing your run-on sentences is a pain in the azz. Thanks.

The Battery is brand new. It does keep on going won't stop or anything like that. When I am pumping the hell of her to get her to start it acts like its about to start up? last I check I had light red spark, I did clean all the contacts, now do pull one the spark plug wires or do I pull 1 the wires off the cap?

Are you sure it's not flooded? Remove the air cleaner and let whatever fuel may be in the manifold to evaporate for about 15 minutes. Then retry without pumping the gas pedal.

If no workee....Pull the spark plug end and peel the boot back. You're wanting to check the spark signal as it goes through the cap, rotor, and plug wire (to ground).

no start

Country, Pull the plugs and either get them blast cleaned or get new ones, they are probably fouled. Also as said before you need a white or blue spark to get it going. Good luck , Kenny

Okay I got a blue spark everything works but I thought maybe I was out of gas. I went to the gas station to get some gas came back it was not the gas cause there was half tank. now when I went to crank her over she kept back firing twice in row stop and then backfire twice again?

could be a bad fuel pump....just cuz you have gas in the tank doesnt mean its getting to the engine...you say you pumped the gas pedal quite a bit...did it smell of gas when you opened the hood? take off the air cleaner and check to see if you are even getting gas in there...

Country, Which engine do you have? From what you are experiencing I must agree with the Blue Mule, you probably have a timing chain problem. Kenny
