I haven't check the fuse box- but will do. Raining this evening for the ride home- so going to see if the rain makes a difference. If it does- I guess I have to move to Arizona!
This thing is driving me nuts.
If, if the cps is giving you problems, the better replacement would be from an International dealer, pn 1876736C91, dark blue. Should cost 26-28 bucks. Have you checked your ICP sensor? Famous for leaking oil into the plug and causing issues. You can at least clean the plug out with contact cleaner and find out if it fixes it. Could be a fuel system issue? Could be under valve cover issues (50 cent mod).

Reason: added more.
Check your Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor. Our Silver Turd , 2000 7.3 DRW, would just die on guys with no rhyme or reason. Replaced the CPS twice, thinking we got a bad one. Ended up being the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor and tube. Pulled the tube and it was clogged with gunk. FYI, can be a pain to get your hands in the area and work. Business partner tried this on his own and ended up putting everything back together and driving, stalling, driving, stalling with me following to the dealership. They had it done in in an hour or less. Just a thought.

I will definitely try this one. I'm on my 2nd CPS, 1st IPR valve- was raining yesterday- go a little stall on the way home. This problem is driving me crazy. I'm also checking the post about the wipers being on- I think this happen to me yesterday. Thanks a bunch for the input I'm at my wits end.
Got a stealership CPS- but I think the wipers are causing interference like you said, going to check the wiper thing this evening.
How would I fix?
I just did a quick search and like I thought it is about the brand of cps. Goofy as that is, Motorcraft, International, seem fine, some of the aftermarket ones will do it. RF interferance will create issues.
Have you put the new one in yet, get to test it tomorrow?
Go to the "search this forum" box, type in cps/wipers, you will get a lot of good reading on the subject.
Just read this thread and new to diesels ...
Is the CPS a CRANK POSITION SENSOR ? Cam Position Sensor ?
Also... Is this something people are replacing as preventative or was there a problem first and you decided to try the CPS ?
I would think if you had a bad CPS (crank or Cam) your truck wouldn't even start and would definitely throw a code... especially if it caused a stall ...

Yes CPS= Crank Position Sensor.
The CPS is known issue and also a recall repair item.
My CPS went out on me luckily as I was pulling into the in-laws driveway about 5 yrs ago. Luckily I had a spare with me and it never did throw a code...or at least one that lit up the SES light
Well, I have run for 3 day back and forth to work at about 240 miles no stalls. Even had to run 1 day with wipers on, no stall? I hope this post doesn't jinks the F250.
What I did to the truck:
2nd CPS
New IPR valve
Change Fuel Filter
Leveled the oil off
Now with all this activity I don't exactly know what the heck may have fixed the truck?

Good luck to all you stallers out there!
Good to hear. You could always swap out the cps's? No rain in the forcast though.
