My buddie has an 02 PSD and has been having trouble with his truck cutting out latley. I told him it might be the CPS going out. Today he called me on his way home from work and it had done it 5 or 6 times already, while we were on the fone it did it again and the check engine light went on. When he got home he hooked up the programer box and it gave him 2 codes, one was P0344 camshaft position sensor circuit intermiten and the other was P1249 wastegate fail steady state test "FORD", or something like those. Do these make sense and what do you think?

 

cps sounds like it definately. i would drop a cps in it and see if the other code goes away. sometimes with the truck shutting down unexpectidly its will bring other codes up.
