help
i have a 99 f350 7.3 i just got done putting glow plugs and vavle cover gasket on. test drove and the truck has no power and CEL came on. got the scanner on it and it said 1316 code. so i took everthing back off and check all of the wires and plugs. look good and tested good. then i buzz tested the injectors number 8 tested bad. dont want to spen the money if i dont have to. if someone can point me in the right way ill be happy

I would first say to check the harness. If it was fine before, and now it's not, maybe you didn't get it plugged in good. And if you used a new gasket, check for continuity. Could be a faulty new gasket.

However, the chances you bumped the metal retaining clip for the solenoid connector is far greater.
It's happened to me once so I am more careful when installing the valve cover nowadays...
