Thanks for all the responses. I was hoping to find an original in good condition. I just bought a couple of reproduced outside door handles and wasn't impressed.
Thats a nice piece indeed...i couldnt see the blemish in the pic though...Has anyone ever had one of these replated in great condition as far as not pitting goes ??? I have a one for mine I got a couple weeks ago off of a Ca born/sold rig...but the chrome is just starting to crack..Also, does anyone know of a good plater who does the proper triple plating ?

Seem to recall bookmarking a thread by member recommending a plater in the state of Wash. but at this time can't seem to locate the thread? A number of person's I know, who are in to the restoration of their classic vehicles, go with Superior Plating out of San Jose, Ca., lot probly has to do with many live in the area; although, with Ca. EPA restrictions a number of platers have moved-on and the those remaining require traveling a great distance to check them out? I had them straighter and rechrome front and rear bumpers and they did a very good job. I would check for platers in your area, found a good source is by asking fellow restoration enthusiast at the local swap meets?
Thanks Dave, Im all for finding a plater here in state...you said your bumpers came out nicely...are they the correct 64-66 style with the more open ends or the boxier ends like the 67-72 and the repops...
Does the plater in the bay area also deal with aluminum stuff which our trucks have alot of as well...

Sorry cs65, did not want to mention they were off a GM vehicle, my 64 GTO, which were spindled and mutilated when I purchased it and they came out like new. Should mention Superior Plating was rec. to me by a friend who had the front bumper straightened and rechromed on his 65 F100, this was numerous yrs. ago. I will post the thread mentioned if, and when I come across it.
