Doesn't the 5.0 and 3.5 have similar power numbers anyhow?

Power is close but torque of the EB is higher overall and much higher at much lower rpm. Almost all the EB torque is available at about 1700 rpms. However, the 5.0 is a great engine and at wide open throttle both perform similarly. We use both engines for work and we love them both.

I would bet that a RCSB 5.0 2wd would hang with said dodge with hemi. I think us as owning fords we are somewhat spoiled with our engine options. Had ford only came out with the 5.0 and 3.7 I am pretty sure everyone would have been satisfied. It is just icing on the cake that we get a 3.5 and a 6.2 on top of that.

All the big 3 usually offer 3 engines. A v6, a budget V8, and the hot V8. Ford offers an internal combustion sort of heaven!
