Dash lights

Just wiring up my dash. Its now 12v so I need to get new bulbs for the dash lights.Anyone have a proplem with the 12v bulbs running hotter and damaging cluster or bulb sockets. Was just thinking that the 12v bulbs would run hotter.

12 volt bulbs may be slightly hotter because they're probably brighter. But I seriously doubt they would be too hot. If you were running 6 volt bulbs in a 12 volt circuit, they would get really hot briefly, before they burned out.

Go with LED's and never worry about them going out, plus no heat.
