Dash Cluster Bulb Wattage
I have a 85 F-350 also and have replaced all mine. I think they are five watt, but I replaced mine with some high eff. high lumin bulbs I found a light bulb specialty store.
I can going to guess here you are serching since your dash palnel can barely be sent with the lights all the way up. I had the same problem and fixed and repaired to no avail UNTIL I removed the dash took out the bulbs found the blue covers inside the dash had grown old. The bulb was doing it's job but coudn't get out of the blue cover.
I carefully placed a screw driver and tapped the covers off and shook them down into the bottom of the dash where they remain today. NOW the lights are so bright I have to turn them down.
