Turbo Boost

Turbo Boost
Well guys this is my first diesel, I've got about 3,500 miles driven on it, my question is, how easy is it to achieve high boost. I probably mean to say, if 40 - 42 PSI is safe boost, how hard is it to get there. I have an H&S running the hot damn on the no horsepower setting. Don't want anything but a dependable truck, with a little extra MPG if possible, have the over boost set at 32 PSI and have personally never seen over 25, maybe 27.
I'm just wondering if I have a turbo problem, or a problem with the skinny pedal foot.

41 psi is suppose to set the code..so it is safe up to that. There are some who have run more but I would not.
I can hit 36 psi on average when pulling heavy. That is about the only time.
So lets hook 15K behind yours and give it a test up at 12% grade and see what she will do.

are bout you guys still running with DPF ON? I am straight pipe with HD300 HOT tune and had Boost Defuel set at around 38psi and found that on a hard pull EMPTY truck it was Defueling and had hit low 40's psi then I lowered the Defuel to around 35psi. I don't care to find out the hard way of what happens running too much boost. i think with the high idle it runs like 1 psi and running down the highway~60mph around 8-10psi maybe. Im planning on a snowmobile trip in a few weeks so that will be the first trailer i have pulled, it will prob be like a 4place enclosed maybe 5 sleds? from what i have read ill just keep it on the HD300 but turn it down to the no power setting, ill try to remember what it does for boost then.
