Clucth linakge
Hey all,
New here.
I'm finally going to get my truck up and running again after a 10 year hiatus.
One thing that put everything on hold was a broken clutch linkage. I couldn't find it back then and now I'm having issues finding it again.
The truck is a 1974 F100 with 360 FE and 4sp NP435.
The part I'm looking for is the ball end that mounts to the engine for the equalizer bar. I found a few that says its the one but they don't look like the one I remember.
I did say "remember". The ball shattered in to a bunch of little pieces while I was driving down the road. I was able to retrieve some of the parts from the roadway and what was left under the truck. I spent over a month going from junkyard to junkyard looking for this piece but none in the area had it. I was moving at the time so I put the pieces in a box and figured I would get to it after the move. Well, 10 years later I finally got around to it. Now I can't find that box anywhere.
What I remember was it mounted to the back and bottom of the engine and had a steel ball on the end where the equalizer bar slid over.

I believe both of these threads list what you need. Sounds like you should be abpe to get it from Dennis Carpenter or another vendor of it's kind.
I think mine looks like the one in this pic.

What I remember is three bolt holes, 2 on the back 1 one the bottom. Similar to the one for the Mustang in the link above but not as long or squared off.
The one I remember looked close to the one AK Ford Guy has in the pic but the ball end was a ball, steel sphere.
I'll try Dennis Carpenter and see what they have.
