cab floor
has anyone ever lowered the cab floor under the seat area in a 73-79 f150? i have a 77 with the original bench seat and i was looking at ways to gain about 2 inches of head room. it dont look like it would be to hard to do so i was wondering if anyone had seen it done before

Dang. That'd be alot of work to lower a section of floor pan just for headroom...plus it'd come close to the frame and ya'd have to deal with crossmembers IIRC.
What other options has been considered? Why not install bucket seats? Or modify the bench seat base with thinner and denser foam?

having just done my floorpans, there is a crossmember that runs up the "hump" under the seat. Maybe you could cut down the seat track on the bench seat if you are stuck on it if not like HIO said, bucket seat time.

iv been watching for a lower seat. found a nice 3 piece split bench that is really comfortable and it tape measures about an inch shorter than my factory seat but the cushion in it is so firm that when you sit on it you have less headroom than with the factory seat because i dont sink down in it like the soft factory seat. so im back to looking.
