Brake Controller

I have a 2012 F350, 6.7L, I just purchased a new trailer with the Dexter Electric/Hydraulic Brake system, but the pickup doesn't seem to activate it. When I pull the emergency ripcord, it pumps up- so I know the system works. I've changed it in the dash menu to "electric/hydraulic" but still no results.... Other posts indicate that the integrated controller is compatible with this system. Any ideas??

does the trailer wiring match the truck?

I remember reading in a camping forum (RV.net) that Ford has had a problem with wires backing out of the 7 pin plug. Might be worth a look-see. Good luck.
