I have a 97 F350 CC 4X4, 7.5g motor. It has a wiring plug under the center of the dash near the floor that the EVTM book says is for electronic trailer brake controller.
Anyone have info on this, is it a plug in unit that I can purchase?
My truck has the 7 way factory plug at the back, plugged int two harness connections under the rear bed area.
Not sure on the brake control, haven't had the truck long enough to pull a trailer with brakes but plan to pull the skid-steer around with it.
Any info is appreciated!
Jeff
As rla2005 says you need to buy a pigtail at a trailer outlet or Farm store.
Then splice it to the wires from the Brake Controller.
The pigtail C210 in diagram below (Dash Connector #18260):

Hey guys I have been reading posts all morning about hooking up a brake controller. My 94 F250 is all pre-wired for it. 7 plug connection in the back, relay box up front, and the 5 plug connector under the dash.
When I buy the controller, I am also going to purchase that little pig tail the C210 one. Once I have that and the controller, all I have to do is splice the wires into the controller and then plug it in?
Is there anything else involved in this?? Just splice it in, plug it in and I am, ready to go??
Can anyone tell/show me where the Blue wire from the harness comes out of the firewall?
my truck had the plug under the dash and everything works but I need to get a blue wire from the brake controller at the back to hook up to the 7 pin. I don't know if it's hidden away somewhere or if it isn't in place from the factory and I need to run a new one from the wirewall. First step is figuring out where that harness under the dash ends.
