If I had this issue, I would check my wiring every step of the way. A bad crimp, a loose ground, a chaffed wire, or any number fo things can cause this. When you replaced the gauge, did you rewire it as if new... or just plug in to your old connections?
Oh wow, yeah thanks, there's no way in hell I was smart enough to think of that!!
I agree with Tugly..I have 7 isspro gauges ranging from 3 years old to 3 months old(trans was one of the first)with no issues..Michael's customer support is top notch..Because of the range of the age of my gauges,I contacted Michael and wanted to get all my units with the warning light and have the same face..No problem, sent all the gauges to Isspro, took less that a week. Now all my gauges are the same and I have the program to set them.IMO, great guage and great people to work with (at least Michael is)
Good info Tugly. I remember having difficulty pressing the wires into the IDCs on the back of the gauge during install. The insulation on the 18GA (I think) wires I was using was thick. I'll bet i dont have a good connection on one or more of these wires, and on cold mornings before some current heats the connections, they are high resistance.
Who are you guys talking to at ISSPRO? Here are some contacts that will likely be able to help you with any issues you may have. I have always heard great things about their customer service and have seen Michael_ on here as well you may try PM'ing him or sending emails to Joe CSIPSDgaugepro@ymail.com or Michael michael@isspro.com
I talked to Jennifer, she was really helpful when I finally figured out what model I had.

Good, I was just trying to make sure you and others were aware of some contacts to keep in mind if you have issues. As I'm sure ISSPRO would like to keep the reputation that they have if they had an issue.
My guess would be the cheap-*** Scotch Locks that people think are sufficient for quality electrical connections.
Oh, and those of you who say that the gauge is off by xx degrees, are you comparing scan data to what the gauge is saying? That's apples to oranges there.
My AE readings have been matching my gauge, but I haven't compared them under all scenarios. Is it sensor location that makes a difference (when there is one)?
Not tormenting or disagreeing... but you specified "cheap-***". I've used thousands of these higher-grade Scotch-Locs for years without issue.
My gauge is off using a thermometer stuck in oil drained from tranny versus what gauge says. Sometimes as much as 50 degrees difference. My ae scan shows tranny temp as 100 when it's 30 degrees out and the truck hasn't even ran from sitting all night. When my tranny gauge said 230 you could still grab filter with bare hands after I used a thermometer and got 160 for a reading.
I had the same problem with my Isspro trans gauge- Would jump erratically. They sent me a new set up & it did the same thing.Great warranty service btw. After about a year or so I finally cut the little two wire molex connector under the truck & wire nutted the wires together. Havent had a problem since. Thats been a couple years ago. I later soldered them together. Dont chuck the Isspro till you check that connector. Good luck
