Hi Guys I have a new to me f 350 with the 4 up lifter switches i would like to wire in a backup camera and some lights but no idea where to start wire location fuse location can anyone help Thanks in advance Bill
The wires will be above your parking brake. As long as nobody has messed with them they will have a label on them that tells you what switch each wire is for and how many amps each is rated for. The fuses are listed in the manuel. I don't have one with me right now to look it up.
One set of Uplifter Switches
They have a set of fuses and relays. You can find them in the 06 up above the
glove box. They are clipped on. And as already mentioned they wire ends are
over by the E-brake. You will also see if you look around the wires for the PTO & BCP
(high idle mod).
The reason I said 06 is that is what I have and also have all the workshop
books for. I think you have the same switches or can put them in. But I can't
say 100% on that. You may want t oread this. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...g-diagram.html
I did not read the full thing.
On High Idle you have to do it differently than I did it. That I do know.
If you can't find/get a good answer ask the guys in the 6.0L PSD section
and you should get an answer.
I have an 06 350 Lariat and it didn't come with the upfitter switches, I'd like to buy them and put them in. Are the wires ran back there stock or will I have to run all the wires from the fuse box to the switches myself?
Thanks for the quick reply. I found on one of the posts that the only difference between the 250 and the 350 is baging gvw and a 4" rizer block on the rear axel the 250 has a 2" block can I change to the 2" to level my truck or will it cause drive line problems Thanks Bill
