has anyone ever made one to plug their truck in when at a place with no power? I have two batteries out of my truck, one is perfect and one holds 50% charge, I was going to tie them together and run plug from them. Im not even sure if its enough juice to plug into for acouple hours?
Are you talking like camping or leaving your truck and coming back a few days later?
Camping you could start the truck and let it warm up every 6-8 hours. Leaving it a few days and coming back? Use a 1500 watt gas engine generator to power the block heater I suppose.
Or switch to 5W40 or 0W40 and forget the whole mess. I never had any issues starting a 6.0 in -15 temps.
I run 5w40 now im just thinking of something to use while I hunt, truck sits for 7 to 8 days at a time, with most places not to plug in. just wondering if two batts would work
Even in winter if you can get a clear sky view with a frenzel lens
you may be able to pick up some charge to help keep the batteries
topped some what. The real problem is snow cover on the collector.
