gutless 6.0

I have an 03 6.0L. 240,000 km. New Turbo & EGR delete 10,000km ago. New injectors 2,000 km ago. Still gutless. Idling warm engine load is at 26%. Cruising empty, 50-60% load. TERRIBLE on fuel! ICP @ idle warm: 637 psi. IPR Duty 24%. ICP with load: 3,500 IPR duty 75%. Don't know what to do anymore!

How's the FICM voltage? Have you checked the EBP and MAP sensors for plugged lines where they enter the manifolds?

FICM runs at 47.5 to 48.5 consistent. EBP line is clear, removed sensor and had exhaust coming through. (Is straight piped as well) MAP sensor reads 13 psi or so and increases as boost psi increases. IAT is fine. MAF seems ok as well.

wonder if you have an up pipe exhaust or charge air leak

Boost psi reaches 20 quite easily. Reaches 30 under load. And it's not smoking either.

Also, after I've driven it for 3 hours straight, it idles a little shabby.

IPR screen clean?

Fuel pressure really low?

The ICP at hot idle looks high, mine runs about 580psi.

IPR screen; don't know. Wouldn't the duty cycle be higher then, to try to keep pressure up? ICP & ICP desired remain within several psi. Fuel pressure I did try to check with a gauge that goes to 60 psi. It hit the stop on the other side of the "0" the moment I turned key on!
630 is high? I was also told too low! Should be 800-900. Suspected HPO system leak.

ICP Low idle hot engine reading should be right where yours is. Mine is like posted above, 585 psi.

These are what Ford says for the ICP:

KO=0
Low Idle=625.5
High Idle=1400-1450
Operating Range=0-4045

IPR:
KO=14.84
LI=24
HI=40.60
OR=0-50 %

High Idle is 2500 RPMs for those. And except for the Key On engine off readings, the engine must be up to operating temps.

Now, I know my IPR has seen above 70% while towing. But, unloaded driving along, it doesn't get above 50%

At 2,000 RPM IPR was at 34%. The 75% was at near full throttle take off. Based on info posted, it's not a HPO leak.

IPR screen I was thinking just check it to rule it out. Fuel pressure you need to watch under load, have you done the blue spring upgrade? Do you run a tuner? If your truck has always run 630psi ICP at hot idle then I would think its ok. I am with you and don't think its a HPO system leak.The 2003 HPO system is a little different then the 2005. Have you ever had the FICM repaired/replace? If not then I would rule everything else out and try that.

Might check that IPR. And fuel pressure under load. Bout the blue spring upgrade, don't know as I just got the truck recently. I do have edge evolution for it, but from stock to extreme makes very small difference in power. Does the HPO run higher on 2003 than on later years?
The FICM does look very new, among the newest things under the hood, so I think it's been replaced.

OPERATING VALUES
Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to And EOT at 185* or higher
A/C OFF
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#1-------KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#2-------Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#3-------High Idel (2500RPM)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!

I know you posted some of these sensors values But they must be taken Exact

So looking for 3 Values per each sensor here Post them for these

ICP
ICPV
IPR%
BARO
MAP
EBP (03 uses Inferred EBP so you might not get a Value for this one)
MAFV
Volt
FICM MP

Do you have the correct Oil Cap and Filter???

BOTH STYLE OIL FILTER CAPS YOU WANT THE ONE ON THE LEFT SIDE ITS OEM
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post11094677

Air Filter OK

Check FICM MP Again driving Under Load does it drop Below 42volts??

Scan for DTC

Need to check for Exhaust uppipe leaks

Need to check for Charge Air Leaks

Remove the Tunner see if it Helps

Do you still have the Cat & Muffler or is it straight piped???

How is the EGR Deleated??

Ok... I'll see when I can get access to a scanner again, & check these things.

Presently, I am trying to obtain the fitting to connect a gauge to measure fuel pressure ... no success yet!

As far as the tuner is concerned, I have removed it; no difference.

I'm certain I'll find the problem yet it'll just take, you know, TIME.
