... That engine bay looks like it's been 10 years since the hood was lifted , pretty dirty with lot's of black paint over spray......
Jim, I have to strongly disagree with you. I just opened the hood on my '78 for the first time since 1997 and my engine compartment looks a bit better than the one shown. Rustier, yes, but a bit better.

Ha ha ,i was just being i guess on how dirty it looks for that price they are asking , looks pretty bad . They could have at least cleaned it up i would think . Have you been driving your 78 at all since 1997 ? That's a long time to leave the hood closed if you have. Of course if you have somebody else checking the oil, water ,ect. on it ,then i guess you don't need to lift the hood. My hood gets lifted two or three times a week at least by me only.
A little tongue in cheek from the Northwest.
I do check the vitals on a regular basis, but haven't done anything except put a new battery in since '97. And the engine compartment shows it, too!
Do have to agree with you on the price vs condition issue. Way too many unanswered questions with the truck to support the price.

Ha ha , i knew it was "tongue in cheek" , But it gave me another chance to point out it may have not been taken care of other than keeping the red paint shiny . Plus the price is way to much even if the title work is in order. It could have title from the state it's in. I had to get a title for a street rod i built a few years ago The state i'm in will do that with the proof i own it with a stack of bill of sale for all of the parts i put in it.__JIM__
I'd pay $10,000 for that truck all day, no 26K though
__That's closer to what i would, After building a street rod i know you can get a lot more in a vehical than what you can ever get out of it. I do like the looks of it and if the legal part is in order i would not be afraid of it, at a lower price.
well I went and looked at it today, salesman didnt even know enough for me to make fun of him. turns out the truck belongs to the dealerships owner, and he was showing it to real buyers so i didnt want to badmouth it too bad. it wasnt cobbled together or anything, just not at all stock, which the salesman (NOT the owner) liked to claim it to be. frame extension was about a foot long, so probably started as a supercab shortbed. didnt get a chance to look for a frame vin though. the extension was VERY under supported though, no fishplates or anything, just an extra chunk added in. paint and interior were really nice, but the trim and chrome left a lot to be desired. definately not a 26k truck, not that i thought it was anyway.
I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but I spend a lot of time in Mexico and there are a ton on 1/2 ton Fords running around with F250 badges on them.
