hey I belive these things are leaking, their is light residue around the clamps and undernether the boots, should I buy oem boots or does any brand work?

I got my replacements from Riff Raff Diesel and am very happy with them.

Also might want to consider the CCV mod to keep the boots clean

 

The one and only advantage about having the oil residue in the intake system is it lets you know when the boots start weeping. If oil can get thru them so can some of your boost pressure. Sort of an early warning device.

 

Yeah after I looked at them, they seem to have some slight cracking in them. So time for new ones

 

X2 on the Riff Raff Boots. I installed a set of Black boots.
