Thought I mentioned once that my favorite training flicks when I was still in that business, were the silent flicks of the Keystone Cops. I took the lessons to heart and learned well!!!!!
But alas, I wouldn't be that big of a sell! Don't have one of those old helmets and the mustache is all wrong! Then we would get PITA (or is that PETA?) bloomers all bunched up because one of those sweet innocent black and white putty cats was assassinated and posted on the web!
Now my wife on the other hand.............you should have seen her slinking around out there tonight with my 250 / 500 Lumen tac light checking anything and everything that was taller than a piece of gravel before she would take a step! Funny as heck, she just knew a monster skunk (or one of the howling coyotes) was going to jump out and get her.
In her defense, she had a bad experience with a coyote on her family's sheep ranch in Idaho when she was a tad younger and could run faster than she can now...............................

Morning guys! I get to work on my lathe today! WooooHooooo!
Good morning Oregon, happy Humpeth Day! Don, that just means you have too much time on your hands.....LOL!
Maybe I should find more work to do?
Morning Pat! Couldn't get online last night. We had a HUGE power outage yesterday about 1600. Computer screw up at one of BPA's substations shut down power over 4 countys. They had to call in computer engineers to get it fixed......
I'm getting ready to head outside to do some field work.

Wife doesn't have a problem with the step. If my wife can manage to step down (gee, they did put a hand hold by the door) without falling, then anyone can.
Jim, I have the exact same step and several other location mounted to the underside of the bumper to move it around. The main issue is the height from the step to the ground while it's on the truck... the position is easy enough to change and less of a problem. My plan is to bend some tubing to the exact same angle as the step (it's not 90°) and then mount some expanded sheet metal type product along the entire length of the bumper. Kind of like an extended step. Then hang the existing step from the bottom of that. The whole works should fold up if it gets bumped from the front since it's hinged with the clevice pins or d rings. I'm just trying to figure out how to bend the tubing... Harbor Freight makes a metal bender... it's more for round or flat stock and not tubing. I'd like to see if it would work but don't want to drop $100 to find out.

BTW. Nice camper!
I see says the blind man. Your wife is vertically challenged like mine is.
I would think just about any metal fabrication shop should be able to bend some square tube for you. Might be a little more spendy than doing it yourself, but probably cheaper than buying a bender yourself.

Good afternoon all. In for another late lunch. Have to go back out to the farm this afternoon and take the tractor and field chopper after some blackberry vines then get the chores done.
Think I'll take a nap first though. Rough night last night and didn't get much sleep and only for 20 minutes at a time when I did doze off.
20 minutes of sleep at a time Jim? That's rough! Hang in there.
I got my first quote from the RV stealer... er, I mean dealer where we bought the camper from. They only want 1/7th of the cost of the camper to replace the front piece of FRP.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just popping in for a moment then back out to the farm. Couple of animals to do some minor doctoring on. Never did get to the blackberries. There is always tomorrow!
